East Boothbay General Store

Once upon a time, this was a true village general store. Picture big bags of flour, sugar, and canned goods. They even hired local teens to do home delivery. Built in 1893 when Boothbay was full of blue-collar folks, it transitioned recently into a tourist-forward gourmet shop. But that shouldn’t stop you from visiting the store. They make fantastic sandwiches and pizza and a darn good lobster roll. Grab sandwiches and chips and have a picnic down the road at the boat launch.
