Wasses Hot Dogs

No-frills hot dog stand. The buns are steamed until they put up little fight. The dogs are grilled on a flat top right next to the ordering window in a shallow layer of peanut oil and onions. The sign outside proclaims “over five million sold” and I believe it – it’s been there since 1972. An everything dog means fried onions, relish, and mustard. In addition to a plain old dog, you can get kraut, chili, or even baked beans (on the western dog). Locals wash their dogs down with a carton of chocolate milk. Also has crinkle fries with various toppings. Hours are 10:30-4 depending on the day.
